Rock Island String Collective gives kids & adults the chance to play folk music for strings in a public setting. Meeting weekly after school, RISK welcomes all string instruments to play celtic, cajun, Old Time, and world musics in a safe cafe setting. RISE is an in-school program for 3rd-5th graders to learn string band music. Kids in the RISE program can go on to make music in RISK.
